Project Overview

Castle Road was a comprehensive renovation and remodelling of a 260m² family home. The project included replacing the cement render with an insulated lime-based system, installing new aluminium windows and doors, renewing the slate roof and adding 30 south-facing solar panels.

The attic was converted to create two large bedrooms and a shower room, while the first floor was completely stripped back and reconfigured with two en-suites, a new family bathroom and bespoke fitted storage. At ground-floor level, new insulated suspended floors were constructed and the enclosed layout was opened up using structural steelwork, aluminium bi-fold doors and a Crittall-style glazed partition.

A new heating system, full rewire and rear decking completed the transformation, creating a bright, energy-efficient home with generous open-plan living and strong connections to the garden.
